Is Third Time A Charm?

Monday, October 8

Recently, I was asked if I had ever seen Rachelle after I started making her presents. The answer is yes and no. Someone was home, but I did not see her in the window again. Interestingly, it seems as if the occupent of the apartment didn't live there on an every-day basis. At least only infrequently is there light in the apt.

This is why I went one step further and revealed my identity. I wrote to her a letter that said I was wondering whether she has moved in my neighorhood and that I was curious whether she was Rachelle.

And, implicitly assuming it is her who would read the letter, I added that I'd love to cook for her or go to the movies with her. Just anything. I ended the letter by a word of hope. Hope that she'll write back to me.

I have staied with my sister's for these past days. Therefore, I couldn't check my mail box and do not know if someone responded. I hope things will clear up soon.

I got to wondering if third time's a charm for me?

  1. In Switzerland, would it not be considered a bit intimate to cook for someone on the first meeting? Seeing as the Swiss are usually so impecably polite at first meeting (or am I wrong about this, for someone as young as yourself)?
For myself in California, I would have stuck with a short meeting in a neutral place - or perhaps a movie, as you suggested. A movie can turn intimate with coffee afterwards, or stay completely neutral, as you wish, after your take on the just-passed situation at the movie.
By the way, we, your readers, are wondering when we can see a photo of you. Are you really a brawnyhunk (or closer to a nasty-looking predator) - no offense intended - only lighthearted joking intended.
We continue to wish you the best of luck in your possibly romantic endeavor and we are rooting for you! :-)
By the way, have you ever looked into the original meaning of the English word "nasty"? Many people assume it is from the iconoclastic writer Thomas Nast - but perhaps not.
