«e-»
Sunday, January 13e-mail, e-book, e-journal, e-commerce, e-banking, e-trading, e-shopping, ...
What would the world look like if the «e-» part wasn't there? Countless people cannot imagine what their lives would be without the Internet. And every so often, we take fron granted what has only existed for a comparatively short amount of time.
The Internet had its breakthrough only in 1989 when the WWW Hypertext System was introduced by Sir Tim Berners-Lee. Even six years later, in 1995, a mere 25 million people worldwide had access to the Internet. The number of users increased to 840 million users in 2002, and to over 1.262 billion in 2007. While currently 70.9% of the population of Northern America access the Internet, only 19.1% of the world population do.
The main social and economic implication is a drastic change in the way we communicate with each other. While information is ever more available at our fingertips, information is democratized.
There is no doubt that the Internet turns our world into a global village.

G-D it, brawny hunk, why don't you post a video of yourself, instead of these various successful people?
You could discourse about something you care about.
As you're Swiss, it's almost assured you'll be a success quite soon after your graduation, so we want to hear from the real you.
Could you not create yet another identity for the "true believers" of brawnyhunk to see a tiny glimpse of you?
Take good care, 90hazelnut
